Simple Tools, Built to Just Work
We built this site around one idea: everyday tools like scanning or creating a QR code shouldn’t come with friction. No app to download, no account to create, no ads chasing you around the page, and no watermark stamped on something you made yourself.
That’s it. That’s the whole philosophy.
Why We Built This
QR codes are everywhere now, on menus, posters, product packaging, business cards, WiFi routers, event tickets. But somehow, scanning or generating one online still often means installing an app you’ll use twice, signing up for an account you didn’t want, or hunting for the “download” button behind three layers of ads.
We got tired of that, so we built Scangentools: a QR Scanner and QR Code Generator that live right in your browser. Open the page, do what you came to do, and get on with your day.
What We Offer

- QR Code Generator Online — create custom QR codes with your own logo, colors, and styling, then download them in PNG, SVG, or PDF, completely free.
- Barcode Scanner Online — scan and decode product barcodes straight from your camera or an uploaded image, right in your browser. Barcode Generator Online — create standard barcodes for products, inventory, and shipping in the format you need, ready to download and print.
Both tools are built to run directly in your browser, on any modern device, whether that’s a phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop.
What’s Next
We’re also working on more tools in the same space, like WiFi and business-card QR codes, and bulk or format-specific barcode generators, so check back if what you need isn’t here yet.
What We Believe In
Privacy by default. Scanning and generating QR codes shouldn’t require handing over your data. Our tools are designed to process everything locally in your browser wherever possible, without demanding an account or unnecessary permissions.
No unnecessary friction. If a task takes six clicks, we’d rather it took two. We try to strip out anything that gets between you and the result you actually came for.
Free, and staying free. The core scanning and generating tools on this site are free to use, with no hidden paywall on basic features like logo uploads or high-resolution downloads.
